A short checklist
The day of your visit
Come with these four things done, and the visit is simple.
Bare eyes
Wash your face and lids that morning, and leave off mascara, eyeliner and eye cream.
No makeup on the eyes
No oil-based products on the lids
No curler
Leave it out that day, so I see your lashes as they sit.
Glasses, not contacts
Bring your glasses. Lenses come out before we begin.
A case for your lenses is handy
A patch test first
For a first tint, book a patch test at least a day ahead. It helps, but it can't predict every reaction.
Who should wait
Rebook, or ask your doctor first, if any of these is true.
Your eyes are red, sore or itchy
Wait until they're clear. I'd rather move your visit than work on irritated eyes.
You've had an eye procedure lately
Ask your eye doctor when it's fine to book.
You've reacted to a dye or an adhesive
Tell me before you book. I may suggest a patch test or a different service.
Questions about preparing
Can I wear makeup to the visit?
Please don't wear eye makeup. If you've worn it, tell me and I'll clean your lids before I start. If your lids are still not clean enough, we move the visit.
Can I bring a friend?
The room is small and the work needs you still, so please come on your own. A friend can wait outside.
How early should I arrive?
Five minutes early is plenty. If you're late, the visit is shortened, not extended.
